February's Crafty Giveaway

Well February is speeding along, we've already given our first workshop at Samuel Taylors, Embsay, looking forward to a full class at Brighouse and lots of interest in the exploding sewing themed box at Leeds and we are ready to prep for March's workshops when Janet comes over to play in my craft room on Thursday. Exciting times!

A while back Janet and I were having a great time experimenting with our new favorite purchase - Tim Holtz Distress Markers, making a few little gift sets of postcards. We felt all grown up cos the pens and stamps we used made us feel like we could make 'proper art' What do you think?

We thought that with the cost of posting our multi layered cards nowadays, postcards would be the way to go.  This then is a set of postcards in a great little folder which you could give to friends complete or post individual cards out to special peeps in your life.

We have loved making these and have sent a few cards out, some with these stamps and some with hobby art stamps, now every time we travel over the moors to the Craft Range, Janet looks out of the window and comments on the scenery, made specially to look like our countryside stamps!

If you'd like a chance to win this set leave your link below and we'll choose the winner at the end of the month. Don't forget to become a follower and check back to see if you have won.

If you are around Leeds  pop in to see us on Saturday (the 9th) at Samuel Taylors, Roseville Street store and bring any stamps you are struggling with so we can (maybe) help you get more out of them. Our first workshop in Leeds is filling quickly so if you fancy having a go at making the exploding box, make sure you phone and book soon.

Love and Hugs to crafty folk wherever you are
x Michelle & Janet

    1. Hi Karen - thanks for stopping by. The techniques we will be playing with on the 16th are very different to this - we have however a class planned for later in the year for distress markers x

  4. Absolutely FAB - U - LUSS Dahlings!!!!
Gorgeous postcards - fab examples of painting with DI's... would love to own them - but wouldn't be sending them to anyone - cos I'd just frame them and put them on the wall!
If my house move goes through I shall be a "little" bit nearer and maybe will get a chance to come and play! xx

  6. Thank you Michelle and Janet.
Sorry we could not be with you at your first class at Skipton, but we are your way in March so fingers crossed you are there, (15th 16th).
I would love a workshop for Tim's distress markers. I used them this morning but know there must be other ways to use them aswell as just colouring. I will be at that class!!
    Take care.

    1. Keep n eye on the Embsay workshops we have a class coming up to show you how to get the best from them. As I said to Keren WHS watercolour paper is our preferred base but Embsay also sell a multi media paper which is also gorgeous to use. I did quite a bit of stamping and colouring on the multi media paper and loved the results I got - pics on my blog around beg of December - the Molly Blooms fireplace is done with it as are the distress pen coloured elves xx
